The Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency has called on management of the National Youth Service Corps, Delta State, to post corp doctors serving in the state, to the Primary Health Care Centers, for the benefits of the rural dwellers
The chairman of the agency Dr. Isioma Okobah, made the call when she led other management staff of the agency on a courtesy visit to the NYSC Delta State Coordinator Mr. Ben Omotade, in his office at Asaba.
Dr Okobah posited that the health centers across the state require capable medical practioners to be able to serve the health needs of the rural dwellers while calling on the state coordinator of the NYSC to post doctors there as their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).
Responding, Mr. Omotade assured the management of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, that the request would be looked into and further tasked the agency to provide conducive environment such as Accommodation and Security to enable the corp doctors discharge their duties effectively if posted to the Health Care Centers.
