The Executive Assistant on Orientation to governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, Eugene Uzum, has refuted stories dominating the airwave, especially on the social media platforms, that he is an ex-convict. The stories which emanated from a recent publication by Ojougboh's Aide, Emmanuel Ojemeh, as quoted below, also described the House of Assembly aspirant as a fraudster.
"The events of the recent time has proven to the people of Delta State that Governor Okowa built his fake empire on quicksand and with corrosive materials, chief amongst which is Eugene Uzum, a celebrated advanced fee fraud syndicate and ex-convict. His two years jail term which he served for defrauding people in the United Kingdom is still fresh. It is obvious that Uzum has lost touch with reality" he stated.
When FLAGNEWS crew contacted Uzum, he described the assertion as baseless rumour capable of making him more popular. According to Uzum, " I have never been arrested before, neither have I been charged to any court. I have never involved myself in any fraudulent activity because I am contented with what I have. I am not against Ojougoh's ambition of contesting governorship election with my boss Okowa, but Ojougboh don't have any right to continuously lay allegations and insults on Okowa, That's where am aggrieved ".
However, all attempts to reach Dr Cairo Ojougboh, have so far, proved abortive.
