The Delta state-born, U.S-based renowned Physician, Founder of the Isioma Okobah foundation, and the M.D of First Lithonia Medical Center in Atlanta Georgia, U.S.A, left the United states, to answer the call to serve her people in Delta state and Nigeria in general, via the health sector.
Unprecedentedly, she was recently spotted in a speed boat while sailing to the riverine areas of the state only to deliver quality health care services even at enlarged market square. Despite the obvious hazards involved, She remains undaunted and committed to deliver on her mandate and to drum more support for the Okowa administration.
She has also rejuvenated the Okowa Legacy Group (OLG), a group she founded, with over 20,000 supporters across the state, which primary aim was to showcase the achievements, inclusions and to mobilize more supporters of the Okowa administration.
In an Interview with FLAGNEWS, she said " Okowa legacy group is meant to showcase his Excellency's legacy. He has done well in so many field.
A great majority of Deltans are experiencing the prosperity promised by governor Okowa".
On the health perspective, she said " His Excellency is very passionate about this primary health care, which is part of his SMART agenda, because he created the health act 2014 when he was in the senate. We want to ensure that we revitalize the primary health care in Delta state. So I believe he has actually done well within his three years in office and majority of our people are experiencing the prosperity. Before he assumed office as governor, he made a lot of promises with that SMART Agenda. So starting with the Strategic wealth creation and just going down the acronym, you will be able to see that he has done so much and will continue to do more".
A cross section of Deltans we interviewed who spoke in broken English popularly referred to as pidgin English in local parlance, said "This woman dey try oooo. We never see this type of person before. Because of this woman, we go vote for Okowa again for 2019". (Translation: "this woman has performed excellently well. We have never had such before now. For her sake, we shall vote Okowa again in 2019").
