At a media briefing, the president Mr. Samuel Fejokwu on behalf of the organization, which goes by the name "Delta State Masters 4 Okowa", says the organiation would formally unveil itself to the public in the form of Live Music/Comedy Concert, with notable musical artistes, comedians and actors, on May 1, 2018.
His words, "gentlemen of the press, ladies and gentlemen, I heartily welcome u all to this press briefing, on behalf of the entire membership of the Delta Stage Masters 4 Okowa.
The Delta Stage Masters 4 Okowa, as the name implies, is a group of practitioners in the Entertainment Industry, who strut the stage doing what they know best how, to earn a living, while also entertaining any defined audience.
The group is comprised of seasoned musicians, comedians, Actors, Masters of ceremonies, DJs, and Events managers.
At the inaugural meeting of the group, the following officers, to run its affairs, emerged:
1.) Samuel Fejokwu(Electronic Media) - President General
2.) Teddy Fretless Olojoba(Musician/Producer) - Deputy President General
3.) Sebastian Ikpoza(Electronic Media/Music producer) - Secretary General
4.) Onome Tanno(Electronic Media) - Asst. Secretary General
5.) Henry Accord Ogana(Musician/Events Manager) - Director of Mobilization
6.) Paula Paul(Nollywood) - Director of Welfare.
7.) Ashiedu Belushi Christopher(Electronic Media/Musician) - Director of Publicity
8.) Dave Ogbeni(Nollywood Actor) - Director of Events.
9.) Anita Odiakose(Nollywood/Events Planner) - Director of Finance.
10.) Emma Grey(Veteran Musician) - Ex Officio/Coordinator, Delta South
11.) Emma Ogosi(Veteran Musician) - Ex Officio/Adviser.
Accord and Dave Ogbeni, in addition to their functions at Exco level, are also Coordinators of Delta North and Delta South respectively.
We also have Coordinators in each of the 25 LGAs of the state.
The idea behind the coming together of this group of people, by pulling resources together, both human and capital, was born out of the desire to champion the cause of a second term of office of H.E Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State.
The present administration under Governor Okowa took off under a global recession, occasioned by the drastic fall in the prices of petroleum products, which, till today, is the country's main source of income. The Governor took up the gauntlet, without grumbling, but with a firm belief in God, and hit the ground running. The resultant effects, two and half years into his first tenure, are legion.
The job and wealth creation scheme,which has tremendously improved the human capacity development of majority of Deltans, Agricultural reforms and Infrastructure development, are clear examples of the achievements of this administration, in the shortest possible time ever!
It is in the light of this that we have come together to join the campaign train of our Smart Governor in lieu of Project Okowa 2019.
It might interest u all to know that, while constituting the membership of our group, we made sure and emphasised that only those who truly appreciate the sterling performance of Governor Okowa, believe in his candidacy and are ready to work selflessly for his second term bid, were brought on board.
Our underlining objective and strategy is to use what we have(our God given talents), to make the most impact in championing the cause of the Governor for 2019.
In furtherance of our quest, we have scheduled to hold an event to formally unveil our noble organization to the public.
The event is in the form of a Live Music/Comedy Concert, with notable musical artistes and comedians, plus an array of up coming actors, strutting the stage.
Venue and Time of concert is CHAD-EF HOTEL Gardens, on tuesday 1st of May, 2018(May Day). It is billed to kick off with red carpet at 6pm, while show proper starts 7pm on the dot, to round off at 11pm.
