100 DAYS IN OFFICE: GARLANDS FOR ALAN K

All over the world, the anniversary of the first 100 days of any administration is treated with much importance. It’s a day of stocktaking; a day that affords the leaders and the led an opportunity to measure the performance of their government.

Today, it’s time for the executive chairman of Ika North East Local Government Council, Barr. Victor Ebonka (Alan K), to be assessed via his achievements.

A good leader is known for his ability to separate chaff from grains, despite the fact that leadership is a teamwork, the greater responsibility and credit go to the team leader.
Alan K, as a team leader and based on his campaign "Six Point Agenda For Sustainable Development”, was received with high expectations by his people considering the exposure, age and professionalism of the Council chairman to take the Local Government Area to its zenith.

Alan K is a man of great faith and  enviable impacts. He has recorded monumental achievements in less than 100 days in office. A feat many acknowledged as ingenious, legendary and laudable. His sudden progress did not just start today as a lot of people, who knew him a long time ago, would not easily forget how he rode through his legal and political career, even to his present status as Council chairman.

He has re-defined the concept of effective leadership by effectively re-orientating the mindset of the political class to see politics as a call to service.

3 months ago, he set the ball rolling by building on his predecessor’s developmental framework. Methodically, he set about adding to the foundation, the necessary ingredients for the LG Council Area to attain its potential, through his six point Agenda of Sustainable Development geared towards bringing Peace and Security,
Youth Empowerment/Sustainable Wealth Creation,
Agricultural Development/Reforms,
Qualitative Education,
Health, and
Infrastructural Development.

As an astute politician cum lawyer  per excellence,  It is his rare determination to ensure the LG Area grows in leaps and bounds and eventually raise the bar by setting standards for others
