INEC PVC: Okowa To Flag Off 'Market To Market' Sensitization

The Executive Assistant on orientation to governor Okowa of Delta state, Eugene Uzum, says the Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) was a mark of identity which had a lot to offer to all citizens of Nigeria and Deltans in particular.

 Uzum made the assertion today in Asaba at a media briefing organised by the State Directorate of Orientation, ahead of the "Market to Market Sensitization" programme, to be flagged off tommorow by the state governor at the Ogbeogonogo Market in Asaba, by 11a.m.

Dwelling on the importance of the PVC, Uzum stated that It would be  fair for all to be part of governance through the INEC registration and the PVC. He charged the youths, women and the religious institutions, not to disenfranchise themselves but  to be part of leadership withing their jurisdiction.
 According to the governor's Executive Assistant, " It is important to draw the attention of deltans that the oxygen of our daily living is the PVC".

Uzum further disclosed that the desires of the governor was for all Deltans to obtain their PVCs so as to elect credible leaders of their choice at all levels of representation. He reiterated that the orientation exercise would cut across Deltans and non Deltans who are residing in Delta, for them to realise the importance of the voter registration adding that the exercise would not be a political campaign but voter sensitization by the Directorate if Orientation

 Earlier, the Special Assistant to the governor on Youth Development, Mr. Innocent, stressed the need for Deltans to come out enmass for the INEC exercise. He called on media practitioners to ensure that the message gets to every nook and cranies of the state and Nigeria at large, remarking that the ongoing voter registration exercise was key to the electoral processes as the forthcoming elections would not be business as usual.
