Gov. Okowa's Pointer Newspaper Shuts down

Gov. Okowa.
Credible sources have revealed that the staff of the Delta state government owned newspaper ( The Pointer), has shutdown the establishment following non promotion of staff and inadequate funding.

According to our credible source, "  the decision was reached yesterday, by our workers both the NUJ and the National Union of Printing, Publishing and Paper Product Workers (NUPPPPROW) to embark on this strike today. Because the commissioner for Information Mr. Patrick Ukah is the cause of our problems. Bros can you imagine, Ukah has been receiving not less than 15 million naira monthly from this establishment yet he releases 800k to fund the establishment. all categories of allowances have been stopped since 2014, and top officials of the Ministry of Information have hijacked  circulation votes from the state government".
Patrick Ukah
This according to our sources, did not go well, and forces a temporary (3days) shutdown of the establishment until sanity is restored even as the workers threatened a permanent shutdown after the 3 days.
It would be recalled that governor Okowa had stated in a media briefing recently, that the establishment ought to be generating good income if the workers are serious, and if they desist from giving out the Newspapers free to commissioners and government functiionaries.
